The official Trice's Chess set standard configuration is shown above.
From left to right, starting on square a1 and ending on square j1, the pieces are the: Rook, Knight, Bishop, Queen, Chancellor (Rook + Knight), King, Archbishop (Bishop + Knight), Bishop, Knight, and Rook.
As you can see, the board is 10 columns wide by 8 rows in height. The squares are green and white, the same as the regulation boards
used in United States Chess Federation tournaments.
Each set also comes with an instruction booklet, one white felt bag for the white pieces, and one black felt bag for the black pieces.
This variation of chess was invented by Ed Trice in the year 2000, and it is poised to occupy the next stage in the evolution of chess. Chess has become increasingly more drawish in nature
in the upper eschelons, but Trice's Chess is still lively enough to conclude with decisive victories in over 97% of all games played.
The bold, attacking player will tend to like Trice's Chess more than regular chess, and the staunch defender and counterattacker will have a greater arsenal of traps to set
for such players as well. It has been said that Trice's Chess will be the preferred way to play chess for the next 1000 years.
